 CMT is located on the West coast of Tasmania, Australia, in a small township of Queenstown, with a population of about 2,000 residents. Queenstown is connected by roads to Hobart , Launceston and Burnie. All of these are national airports well connected to Melbourne. The nearest port is Burnie, which is 160 Kms from Queenstown. The Mount Lyell locality features rugged topography up to 1000 meters elevation. The mine is located between 200 and 500 meters elevation.
